Happy Abduction is the 6th studio album from Victoriana Gaye, produced by Shane O’Mara at his Yikesville Studio, complete with a band of talented Melbourne friends. Coastal Art rockers Vicki Philipp and Jeff Raglus return in very good company.
With the guidance of Shane O’Mara, Victoriana Gaye have produced a sonic journey that presents their own signature sound.
Victoriana Gaye are the duo Vicki Philipp (guitar & vocals) and Jeff Raglus (guitar, vocals & trumpet). Victoriana Gaye describe their sound as a combination of psych-folk with new wave pop, but performed in a singer songwriter style. The couple play a mix of acoustic and electric guitars, trumpet, harmonica and take it in turns to sing lead or harmony.
They have toured and played their original material at festivals and venues in Europe, Japan, New Caledonia and Australia.
Sometimes whimsical, sometimes romantic and sometimes rockin’.
