Description
The Burning Bridges are an acoustic band from Melbourne’s north who play 5-string banjo (Peter Somerville), tenor guitar (Fran Martin), and double bass (Jeff Arnold) and guitar (Mark Wardle) and sing close country duo-style harmonies. Their repertoire includes old country music (The Carter Family, The Louvin Brothers, Ralph Stanley, The Delmore Brothers) as well as songs by contemporary alt-country artists (Old Crow Medicine Show, Gillian Welch), plus old-timey instrumentals with that traditional mountain sound.
