Blues rock guitarist, Samantha Fish is currently one of the most talked about names in the genre. With a career spanning over 10 years, Fish has earned her rightful place amidst the cream of blues rock songwriters and performing artists. Absurd guitar skills, captivating vocals, an ear for great hooks and high-octane live performances are her main assets. Although never restricted to one genre or formula, Fish takes a step forward in her career with her newest release, Faster, which explores new ground and incorporates elements of pop, contemporary R & B and even hip-hop into her music.

After blues/rocker Samantha Fish left the Ruff label — which had thrust her into moderate yet notable blues semi-stardom — by jumping to the larger indie label, Rounder Records, her music was destined to aim for greater crossover appeal. The result is that this, her seventh album in a decade, sounds nothing like her first, or the ones that followed it. Riff rocking abounds and is especially apparent on the opening title track that sounds like something Joe Bonamassa would have written.
