On what would have been Prince’s 60th birthday,this new album of previously unreleased home recordings, Piano and a Microphone 1983,has nine tracks culled from cassette recordings Prince had made at his piano in his home studio. The estate teased the project with Prince’s rollicking and rumbling rendition of the 19th century spiritual, “Mary Don’t You Weep,” which is currently playing during the end credits of Spike Lee’s new movie, BlacKkKlansman.
