Description
A show Pete Townshend taped with his Deep End band for a 1986 appearance on the long-running German TV series Rockpalast will make its official debut on DVD and CD later this year.
Titled Face the Face, the live set is bolstered by a backing band that included David Gilmour, longtime keyboardist John “Rabbit” Bundrick and future Toto drummer Simon Phillips, Townshend delivered a wide-ranging set that encompassed solo songs (including material from his then-current White City LP), Who favorites and even a cover of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins’ “I Put a Spell on You.”
