An ominous feeling underpins many of the songs on the album; an undertone that weaves its way through material concerned with personal relations, parenthood and current global issues. On ‘Moment of Truth’ instances of unfiltered emotion sit comfortably alongside the darkly comic in a deftly performed and orchestrated collection of songs.
