Originally released in 1997, Marigold Sky marked the first album released by Daryl Hall & John Oates as independent artists. The beloved rock/pop duo‘s 15th album together, Marigold Sky was led by the single “Promise Ain’t Enough,” a Top 10 hit on the U.S. Adult Contemporary charts and a global smash. On March 25, Marigold Sky will be reissued to commemorate its 25th anniversary.
The record became something of a fan favorite among Hall & Oates’ devoted audience, it is now being made available for the first time on double LP, as well as an expanded CD format that includes remixes and b-sides from the era.
“I look at ‘Marigold Sky’ as the lost Hall and Oates album,” said Hall. “The fans have been asking me for years about it. I’m really proud of these songs and happy to see that it’s getting a global re-release.” Added Oates: “I am really pleased that ‘Marigold Sky’ is finally becoming available around the world. It’s a very unique and cool album, and I hope old and new fans really enjoy it.”
