Debbie Davies is an award-winning singer, songwriter, guitar player of extraordinary talent. A professional musician since the early 1980s, Debbie ranks among the top blues artists in the country. She has received ten nominations for Blues Music Awards, and in 1997 and 2010 won the award for Best Contemporary Female Blues Artist.
Debbie Davies is poised to released her new CD, LOVE SPIN, on the Vizztone label in 2015. In this collection of 11 all original tunes, Davies explores some age old questions about knowing when to hang on to a good thing or when to let go and move on. Special guests on this album include two sax players; Blues Music Award Winner and West Coast blues legend, Terry Hanck, and Dana Robbins who currently plays sax on tour in Delbert McClinton’s Band. Terry also joins Debbie in a vocal duet. Dave Keyes adds some sparkling piano to the mix, and blues-soul-rocker Jay Stollman joins Davies in an R’n B duet. As always, Davies is true to her blues roots without being an imitator, and honest to the many musical influence that have surrounded her since her youth.
