Darrel Scott is a multiple Grammy nominee, winner of an Americana Song of the Year and ASCAP Songwriter of the Year awards. He has issued many high-shelf releases, either on his own or in collaboration with others such as Robert Plant’s Band of Joy, Guy Clark, Tim O’Brien, Steve Earle, Sam Bush, Joan Baez, Jim Lauderdale and Allison Moorer. Scott is also an in-demand producer, working with Zac Brown, Jonathan Edwards, Guy Clark, Susan Werner, and memorably, producing his father Wayne Scott’s collection of classic country songs “This Weary Way”.
10 – Songs of Ben Bullington, is a tribute to Montana doctor/songwriter Ben Bullington who died in 2013. The two songwriters forged a friendship and it speaks volumes for Scott and the connection the two friends had that he would dedicate an entire album to an unknown songwriter.
