It’s a double album in both CD and vinyl formats, it’ll be out June 19, and it includes 10 songs — three of which Dylan fans already have in hand, between “False Prophet” and the previously issued “Murder Most Foul” and “I Contain Multitudes.” (As for why a merely 10-song album needs to stretch across two discs, the 18-minute length of “Murder Most Foul” may be a partial answer to that.) Rough And Rowdy Ways, the first album of original songs from Bob Dylan in eight years, will be released June 19th.
Rough And Rowdy Ways is Bob Dylan’s first album of new songs since becoming the only songwriter to receive the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2016; an award bestowed upon him by the Swedish Academy “for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition.”
Bob Dylan has sold more than 125 million records around the world. Rough And Rowdy Ways is the artist’s 39th studio album.
