Always Tomorrow is the product of a more mature Best Coast, but the core of how these songs sound hasn’t changed all that much. The production is perhaps even big and shinier than that of their 2015 LP California Nights, but Cosentino and Bruno mercifully don’t take too many creative leaps.
They are a different band though. ‘Everything Has Changed’ does what it says on the label: Cosentino sings about getting sober, about coming to terms with some of the baggage that comes with success, and how her life is better now that her life has changed.
Musically, we’ve not heard much like the mellow Fleetwood Mac-influenced ‘For The First Time’ from the band in the past.
