Andy Fairweather Low released his first solo album 17 years ago. More accustomed to being a sideman to the likes of Roger Waters, Eric Clapton, Van Morrison and George Harrison, he’s gone on record in the past declaring that he is more comfortable in that role rather than bandleader.
‘Flang Dang’ is Andy’s first solo album since 2006. So after quite the break , here he is again at his sweet and soulful musical best with the kind of record that will surely delight his fans both old & new. Every song on the album was written by Andy and oozes with the blues and gospel style that he has made his own. The whole album has the patina of maturity that you would expect from someone with such a huge wealth of experience as a musician & a truly passionate music fan.
