London born, Australian based singer / songwriter Alison Ferrier originally began her musical career with country duo The Wayward Fancies. With songs described as having “incredible charm, wisdom and grace”, Ferrier released her debut solo country/folk record ‘Sugar Baby’ in 2012, produced by ARIA winning roots guru Jeff Lang, and a new and formidable band was formed in 2013 with 3 members of The Stillsons. 2015 has brought a new album ‘Be Here Now’, collaborating again with Jeff Lang and The Stillsons, and featuring a special guest appearance from Suzannah Espie. Harking back to a time when many hugely popular musicians were happily eclectic, ‘Be Here Now’ travels through various pop and roots regions. The cumulative effect is like a poignant ballad singer from the 1940s who gets in a mood sometimes and lets her band turn up the amps and kick out the jams. ‘Be Here Now’ is out June 5th.
