This is Singer-songwriter Amy Helm’s second solo album.
Amy Helm recorded This Too Shall Light with producer Joe Henry over a span of just four days at United Recording Studios in Los Angeles. United Recording Studios is the same compound where The Beach Boys laid down Pet Sounds and The Mamas & The Papas recorded “California Dreamin.’” The 10-song collection mixes originals penned by Helm and Henry with songs by Rod Stewart, T Bone Burnett, Allen Toussaint and Blossom Dearie. This Too Shall Light also includes “The Stones I Throw” from her father Levon Helm’s pre-The Band days.
