Description
Pokey LaFarge looks like he stepped out of a time machine, carrying a banjo case in one hand and a battered guitar in the other. But he’s a young man from the modern age, so this is just an act, right?
Absolutely not. In today’s irony laced hipster culture, dripping with handlebar mustaches and cheap beer, it’s easy to be cynical when you see Pokey LaFarge and the South City Three strut out on stage. But when you hear them play, all of your cynicism is washed away and you’re left smiling.
If you caught Pokey and the boys’ recent shows in Oz, or you’re familiar with the self-titled album, this album from 2011 will not disappoint.
